 Nicaragua

We are currently working in Somoto, Nicaragua in partnership with a local charity called Jardin del Ninyos (children of the garden) led by Pastor Carlos Baez and his family. It started with several children being rescued from living on the local garbage dump, and has grown into the building of a home, education, feeding programs in the neighboring villages and establishment of micro businesses. It is our privilege to be able to support and serve this organization, as we have seen firsthand the good they are doing and the future they are giving the children under their care.

Journey to Home

Journey to Home is an adoption grant fund. We at KIC are passionate about seeing orphans adopted into families. We know that adoption can be a financial burden on families, and it is our desire to elevate some of that burden as funds are available.

Please contact us for more information; we are currently working on an application process.

Lily’s Hope

Lily’s hope is our newest project inspired by our executive director, Chris and his wife Rachel’s adopted daughter Lily. Lily was adopted from China at the age of 2 ½ weighing 13 lbs, she was unable to sit, talk, and only drank from a bottle. She has a congenital heart defect and significant developmental delays. The last three years have been a journey full of hope, struggles and amazing accomplishments, involving therapies, many doctors’ appointments, and open heart surgery. Lily can now walk, she is thriving physically, and although is delayed developing is progressing at her pace, and most importantly is happy.
